Hey, my name is Anna. I think that my troop and I did a really good job as far as working together. I have been in troop 3109 since I was in Kindergarten. Some new people have come and others have left, but in all I've really gotten to see how much we've changed as a group. We started this year talking over each other and trying to be the loudest and we've finally matured into Girl Scouts that can listen and take turns sharing what we have to say. Once we decided we were going to do our bronze award, we got our group together and began to brainstorm. Some ideas we had were solutions for bulling, helping elders and homeless people, giving things to charity, visiting kids in hospitals, and obviously Guide Dogs for the Blind. Once we decided on Guide Dogs for the blind we began to start planning. In the beginning we slowly met with a few people and asked them questions, but towards the end we really started working together. We all decided that we needed jobs and that they would need to be completed by a certain time. We each had jobs to do and mine were getting our information onto the VV Gazette which is our school newspaper. I was also one of the people in charge of choosing the teachers we would be interviewing. Others were in charge of the questions we would ask and when we would ask the teachers for their time. Our idea was to interview some of the most popular teacher at our school about guide dogs. Then to put it into the VV Gazette with a link to this site so people could read about our bronze award and Guide Dogs for the Blind. We worked really hard and couldn't have done it without the teamwork of everyone in troop 3109.
Dog Jokes:
1. What do you get when you cross a fly, a car, and a dog?
2. If there are 6 blind people and four guide dogs under one umbrella how come no one got wet?
3. What is more impressive than a talking dog?
A-a flying carpet (car-pet)
A-It wasn't raining
A-A spelling bee
